The blend is 32% Tempranillo, 47% Petite Sirah, 16% Barbera and 5% Malbec.
The red blend is powerful, rich and fat on the palette with fruit forward notes of dark berries and integrated tannins that round out the long, smooth finish. Reminiscent of Italian Field Blends.
‘Lupi winemaking protocol: The red grape varietals used in the making of the wine our typically picked around 24 Brix. After fermentation the wine is racked into a combination of French and American oak 2 and 3 year old barrels. The wine ages for 9-12 months and then is bottled. The result is a bright red fruit flavored wine that receives just enough oak to retain a slight spicy character as well as a mild round vanilla mouth feel and finish.
